Let shoppers buy while they chat.

Turn a conversation into a completed purchase. With Noodle Seed, shoppers can discover products, choose what fits and check out with the agent on your website or Shopify storefront, or inside ChatGPT and Claude plugins.

The short answer

Agentic checkout lets a shopper ask questions, build a cart, review the total and approve a purchase within the shopping conversation. Noodle Seed connects product discovery to that completed order. Join the waitlist to bring this experience to your business.

What is agentic checkout?

Agentic checkout brings the buying process into the conversation. The shopper explains what they need, the agent helps them choose, and they review and complete the purchase with the agent. Product questions, cart changes and checkout become one connected journey.

The customer stays in control of what they buy. The agent presents the selected product, quantity, delivery details and final total before asking for approval. Payment uses the secure checkout controls for the connected commerce system, and the conversation ends with the confirmed order.

Sell wherever the shopping conversation starts

On your website

Let visitors ask questions, compare products, build their cart and buy while conversing with your website agent. Keep their requirements and selected products together as they move toward checkout.

On your Shopify storefront

Bring the same conversational buying journey to your Shopify storefront. Connect product and variant choices to the store’s cart and checkout so the shopper can move from “Which one fits?” to an approved purchase with the agent.

Inside ChatGPT and Claude plugins

Bring your products and agentic checkout into ChatGPT and Claude plugins so customers can discover, choose and buy within the conversation where they found you.

The checkout controls and any payment authentication step depend on the host and commerce integration. Confirm the supported buying flow for your chosen channel during setup. Noodle Seed’s public access is currently through the waitlist.

From a product question to a confirmed purchase

Illustrative checkout conversation. Products, charges, payment and order details below are fictional; no live purchase is being made.

Shopper: I need an available backpack under $100 that fits a 15-inch laptop.

Agent: The Metro 18 is $79 and fits a 15-inch laptop. Its fabric is water-resistant; the catalogue does not establish that it is waterproof. Would you like to buy one?

Shopper: Yes. Add one and show me the total.

Agent: Your order is one Metro 18: $79.00, plus $5.00 shipping and $6.72 tax. Total: $90.72. Review your delivery details and payment in the secure checkout control, then confirm if you want to place this order.

Shopper: I’ve reviewed the details. Confirm my purchase for $90.72.

After the shopper completes the required payment step and the commerce system confirms the order:

Agent: Your order DEMO-1001 is confirmed for one Metro 18. Total paid: $90.72. Here is your order confirmation.

The purchase completes in the conversational journey. If payment fails or the order status is unknown, the agent explains that state and helps the customer recover; it reports a purchase only when the commerce system confirms it.

Three parts of a complete shopping journey

Help customers find relevant products

Ask for the detail that changes the recommendation: size, compatibility, budget, delivery needs or intended use. Apply the constraints before presenting options. When nothing matches, explain which constraint could be relaxed rather than silently ignoring it.

Make comparisons understandable

Explain why a product fits and where it falls short. Give the shopper a direct route to the product details. A comparison should help someone choose; a longer conversation is not automatically a better one.

Complete checkout with the customer

Carry the chosen item and quantity into the cart. Show the final price, shipping and tax, let the shopper review their delivery and payment details, and ask for approval before purchase. Return the confirmed order to the conversation so the shopper knows the purchase is complete.

What your store needs to connect

InformationWhy it matters
Product identifiers, names and specificationsMatch the right item and variant
Current prices and availabilityAvoid offering an outdated price or unavailable item
Delivery and return policiesAnswer purchase questions within their actual conditions
A maintained source for changing factsIdentify when a claim needs a fresh lookup
A human-help routeGive unresolved questions an appropriate next step

Agentic checkout also needs a connection to your cart, checkout, payment and order systems. Identify which system owns prices, stock and order status, how customers approve payment, and where the confirmed purchase is recorded. Use secure payment controls rather than collecting card details in chat.

Evaluate the entire purchase, on each channel

Give each shortlisted option the same catalogue and ask a shopper to complete a purchase. Check product selection, cart changes, the final total, payment authorization and the confirmed order. Run the journey separately on your website, Shopify storefront, and any ChatGPT or Claude plugin experience you intend to offer.

Test the awkward moments too: an item goes out of stock, the total changes, the shopper cancels, payment fails, or confirmation is submitted twice. The conversation should retain useful context and clearly show whether a purchase completed.

Our AI shopping assistant guide explains what to look for. The customer-assistant evaluation toolkit provides a repeatable method. If Chatbase is on your shortlist, read the Noodle Seed and Chatbase comparison.

Measure completed purchases

Track product questions, carts created, checkout starts, confirmed paid orders and revenue separately. Match a completed purchase to its commerce-system order record. This makes agentic checkout measurable as a buying journey, with clear evidence for the result.

For a later live test, compare equivalent visitor groups and record the eligible-session denominator. Account for promotions, inventory and traffic changes before attributing a sales difference to the assistant.

Questions before you start

Can a customer buy while chatting with the agent?

That is the core experience: the shopper discovers a product, reviews the cart and total, approves payment and receives the order confirmation within the conversational buying journey.

Where can the experience run?

Noodle Seed’s agentic checkout is designed for your website, a Shopify storefront, and ChatGPT or Claude plugins. Confirm the required store connection and supported checkout surface for the channel you want to launch.

Does the agent buy without the customer’s approval?

The shopper reviews the order and approves the purchase. If a price, quantity or delivery detail changes, show the updated order before confirmation.

Will it increase sales?

Measure that in your store. Compare completed purchases and revenue across equivalent visitor groups, alongside cancellations and failed checkouts. Conversation volume alone does not establish sales growth.
